Create a useful home inventory
A home inventory is a structured record of the items and appliances you own, organised around your home and rooms.
Begin with records you already have
Choose one room or a small set of appliances. Record a recognisable item name and any known brand, model, purchase date and warranty end date. Leave unknown information blank rather than guessing.
Make records easy to find later
Use consistent names such as “Kitchen refrigerator” and connect the item to the correct home. Add a receipt or manual through the private document workflow. Avoid uploading unrelated identity or financial documents just to complete a record.
Keep the inventory current
Update details when an item is replaced, serviced or moved. Link planned care through the maintenance tracker and retain the warranty information you need.
What an inventory does not establish
An MVault record is not an insurance valuation, proof of cover or an automatic warranty registration. Check requirements with the relevant provider. Inventory features are available only to approved testers during the current restricted beta.
