MVault / Maintenance Vault
Privacy Policy

Who operates MVault
MVault, also called Maintenance Vault, is operated by Vijaya Kumar Chintada, an individual operator based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to this operator.
This policy explains how information is handled when you use MVault or contact us. For privacy questions, support or requests about your information, email maintenancevault@gmail.com.
Information we process
We process information you provide, records created as you use the portal, and information from services you choose to use when those services are enabled:
- Account and sign-in information: your name, email address, country, account preferences and sign-in records. Email accounts use password hashes rather than readable passwords. If provider login is enabled, we process the provider’s account identifier and the identity or email information needed to sign you in.
- Home records: details of homes, rooms, appliances and other items, including descriptions, purchase and warranty information you enter.
- Maintenance and notifications: tasks, schedules, completion history, reminders, notification preferences and read status.
- Documents: files you upload and metadata such as file name, type, size, ownership, linked records, upload time and scan status.
- Subscriptions and coupons: trial and entitlement records, country or region used for pricing, and subscription or coupon details where offered. Payment references and status may be processed if payment services are enabled.
- Security and support: consent records, security and audit events, privacy requests, messages you send us, and limited technical or security logs such as request times, errors, IP addresses and session references.
Why we use information
We use this information to provide the portal, authenticate users, organise home records, protect accounts and documents, and provide maintenance and warranty reminders. We also use it to manage available account features, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, investigate security issues, meet applicable legal obligations and improve reliability.
Reminders can appear within MVault. Transactional email and other delivery channels depend on the features actually enabled; saving a reminder does not mean an external email will be sent.
Private documents and security
Uploaded documents are private and access-controlled. MVault does not publish them or make them available to other homeowners. Preview and download routes check ownership and require authorised access.
Where malware scanning is enabled, files are kept in quarantine while they are checked. A passed scan is required before preview or download. Files that are unsafe, cannot be scanned, or have not passed a scan remain unavailable. Turning scanning off does not make unscanned documents available.
Security controls reduce risk, but no service or malware scanner can guarantee security or detect every threat. Only upload information you own or are authorised to store, including any personal information about other people. Keep independent copies of important records.
Service providers and other disclosures
Access is limited to what is needed to run, secure and support MVault. The operator and service providers may process information for those purposes. This does not give other users access to your home records.
- Google or Facebook login: only when the relevant provider is enabled and you choose that sign-in method. The provider processes its own sign-in activity; MVault receives the identity information needed for authentication. Home documents are not sent to these providers as part of login.
- Brevo: only when transactional email delivery is enabled. Recipient details and the content needed to deliver the message may be processed by Brevo. This policy does not mean automatic email delivery is active.
- Payment providers: only when payment features are enabled and used. The selected provider may process payment details under its own terms; MVault may receive transaction references and status. This policy does not mean payments or recurring collection are active.
- Infrastructure: storage, hosting and security services used for the deployment process the information needed to operate that deployment. Local malware scanning checks file contents without making documents public.
We may disclose information when required by applicable law or a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect users and the service. If you ask for support, share only the information needed to explain the issue.
How long information is kept
Home records and documents remain associated with your account while you use the service, unless removed through available controls or a reviewed deletion process. Archiving a record or removing it from view does not necessarily erase it from storage immediately.
Export downloads expire at the time shown in your account, normally after 24 hours. Expiry prevents access; it is not a guarantee that every stored copy has already been erased. Some technical records and deleted documents become eligible for cleanup after configured periods, but the current local pilot does not automatically purge all eligible records.
Minimal audit, consent and transaction-related records may remain after account removal for security, integrity, dispute handling or applicable legal obligations. Some currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Backup copies, where maintained, can retain earlier information until separately removed. We do not promise immediate or irreversible removal from every record or backup. Contact us for information about a specific record or retention request.
Your choices, exports and deletion requests
You can update available profile and home details, manage notification preferences, and use Privacy and account data in your signed-in settings to request an export or account deletion. If you cannot access your account, contact maintenancevault@gmail.com; we may need to verify your identity before acting.
Exports include account records and document metadata, not the document files themselves. Files use the separate private download route and must pass the applicable checks. Export downloads expire and require your signed-in account. Size or usage limits may require a reviewed export.
A deletion request requires confirmation and a recent sign-in or current password. It starts a grace period, normally 14 days; your request shows the actual end date. You can cancel while the request is pending and before finalisation begins. Submitting the request does not immediately destroy your information.
In the current local pilot, deletion finalisation is a reviewed process restricted to synthetic test accounts. Real-account deletion is not automated. Contact the operator about real-account deletion or information that cannot be changed through the portal; a request is not a promise of immediate erasure. Applicable legal rights are not limited by these technical controls.
International processing
The operator is based in India. Depending on the deployment and enabled providers, information may be processed in India or other countries, whose data-protection rules may differ. We do not promise storage in a particular country. Contact us for details about the providers and locations relevant to your use. This policy does not claim certification under any privacy regime.
Age requirement
MVault is not intended for children under 18. Do not create an account if you are under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to MVault, contact us so we can review the situation.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product, enabled services or information practices change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or seek consent. Contact maintenancevault@gmail.com if you have a question about a change.
